The Assistant Site Superintendent plays a vital role in supporting the Site Superintendent in overseeing construction projects from start to finish. The Assistant Project Manager plays a key role in ensuring construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

Obtain, evaluate, coordinate, and distribute information necessary for project execution.
Protect and promote the interests of both the company and the client.
Maintain adherence to Evolution Construction’s safety standards.
Ensure all required documentation is properly filed.
Assist in creating and managing project budgets.
Develop pre-construction RFP packages.
Support project meetings, establish milestones, and contribute to monthly owner reports.
Establish and manage job processes, including RFIs, submittals, and pay applications.
Approve pay applications and negotiate subcontract change orders.
Update project schedules and oversee quality control.
Assist in managing the project closeout process.
Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and passion for construction.
Analyze data and effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar) is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge of construction processes and terminology is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • Assist in setting and achieving quarterly and annual sales goals in alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management and the sales team to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy targeting new clients and strengthening existing relationships within the construction industry.
  • Partner with the Marketing & Communications team to create effective client proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Track sales performance through key metrics, including bid opportunities, proposal submissions, and win/loss analysis, to refine the approach and enhance future sales strategies.
  • Prepare and manage Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and presentation documents, ensuring all materials align with client needs and project specifications.
  • Follow up on new leads, referrals, and business development opportunities, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Work closely with potential clients to understand their construction project needs and collaborate with internal teams to ensure these requirements are incorporated into proposals and project plans.
  • Qualify new prospects and coordinate with operations teams to assess project feasibility and potential.
  • Support the sales team during project delivery by maintaining client satisfaction and ensuring communication throughout all phases of the project.
  • Stay engaged with clients post-project to identify additional opportunities and maintain strong relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Development, preferably within the construction industry (experience in other industries will also be considered).
  • Strong network of industry contacts, including general contractors, architects, engineers, project managers, and facility managers, particularly in Northern California and Silicon Valley.
  • Construction knowledge and experience is highly preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, including operations and project management.
  • Results-driven mindset with a proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.
